Polarization Maintaining Components
Maintaining Polarization, Optimizing Performance
Introducing our comprehensive product line of polarization maintaining components tailored to optimize optical systems. From multiplexers to EDFAs, couplers and patch cords, each component ensures optimal performance in your optical setups. Explore our range of components for seamless integration and enhanced functionality in your applications.
PMUX – Polarization-Maintaining Multiplexer
Our PMUX features a polarization maintaining AWG for channel multiplexing on the ITU grid, ensuring minimal insertion loss even in high channel count systems, while maintaining the polarization of each laser line. This stable output polarization allows for arbitrary modulation of a channel comb using Mach-Zehnder structures to emulate DWDM spectra.
PM EDFA
Our Polarization-Maintaining Amplifiers, based on Erbium-Doped Fiber, effectively boost signal power while maintaining linear input polarization throughout the entire amplification process. These amplifiers are versatile, catering to various applications that demand polarization preservation from the input to the output. Alongside our CoBrite laser sources and Polarization-Maintaining Multiplex devices (PMUX), we provide a comprehensive solution tailored to your requirements.
Choose from our benchtop or 19-inch rack-mountable versions, available in multiple output power options. Our EDFAs are offered in single-channel or gain-flattened multi-channel configurations.
PM Patch Cords
Designed to preserve light polarization, whether launched on the fast or slow axis of the fiber, our polarization-maintaining patch cords ensure dependable device interconnections in lab environment.
We offer a wide range of patch cords to match your specific needs.
PM Couplers
Our Polarization-Maintaining Couplers complement our CoBrite laser sources, enabling channel multiplexing on any arbitrary grid (e.g FlexGrid) with preserved input polarization. Stable output polarization of all laser lines allows for arbitrary modulation of a channel comb using Mach-Zehnder structures.
Opting for couplers over complex tunable filters or WSS structures for FlexGrid scenarios offers cost savings and simplified configuration, while ensuring polarization preservation. For high port count needs, amplification might be required to compensate for the loss incurred. Even then, the couplers + EDFA combo still offers great cost advantage over a WSS structure.
Choose from our standard 1×2, 1×4, 1×8, and 1×16 PM couplers, with options for higher port counts available upon request.
